Unfreiwillige Abräumer dieses Jahr sind u.a. die vergurkte Puppen-Comedy "The Happytime Murders" (Puppen, die schlimme Dinge machen, höhö), das Gangster-Drama "Gotti" mit John Travolta, das in Deutschland aus guten Gründen nur auf DVD herauskam und die neue "Robin Hood''-Verfilmung mit Taron Edgerton.
Bei den Darstellern hat es neben John Travolta auch Bruce Willis für den Selbstjustizthriller "Death Wish" und Johnny Depp für seine Arbeit als Sprecher von "Sherlock Gnomes". Apropos Sherlock: Auch die Komödie "Holmes & Watson" mit Will Ferell und John C.Reilly ist nominiert.
Für gleich zwei Filme ist Donald Trump nominiert. Die Himbeer-Macher ärgern gerne Politiker, die in Dokumentationen über sie eine schlechte Figur machen. Der amtierende Präsident spielte sich 2018 selbst in der Michael-Moore-Doku "Fahrenheit 11/9" und in dem konservativen Verschwörungspamphlet "Death of a Nation".
